It also has an art timeline. National Gallery of Art Kids page This is one of the best sites ever. There is so much to do and see on this site. You can design your own art of all kinds, play games and read interesting accounts of the artists and their art. ARTLEX This is a site that would be particularly helpful to middle school students doing a report. This is an art dictionary with information on art production, history, criticism, artist's biographies, etc. You can also look up an artist and link to the museum where you will find the artist's work. Webmuseum This a great site to find many famous paintings and  artist's biographies. This site originates from Paris and has several tours of the city as well.
